Fraps problem

Hey guys,I'm having some problems with fraps while i record half-size.It's recording but when i try to watch video its just black screen with sound...With full-size recording there is no problem. But its too big and it wont record bigger than 4gb on same file it creates another file and continue. Its kinda anoying for me.
I dont know why im getting black screen with half-size record.I've tried all players.Got all new codecs.
I'm playing at 1440*900 and i got dual-core cpu...I need some help

You should record with the FRAPS codec. And it's better to make a bunch of small vids than one big file, trust me on that, editing a 10 / 15 minutes vid is a pain compared to editing 10 small 1 minute clips

You're on a laptop, right? I think you should stick to full resolution. Better quality and a lot easier to convert to another format later.

It may be because half 1440x900 isnt mod16, I haven't tried & tbh you should use full size like Tenkage suggested.

as for the files, no, they dont go above 4 gb. You can just put them after each other, there is no gap in playback or anything like that.

from the opendml specs:

Quote:
The current RIFF file format implies a maximum chunk size of 4 GB because the size is stored as a 32-bit value.
So thats why.

It installs when you install fraps, the free version works just fine there.

I found the dll in windows\system32 (frapsvid.dll), if you copy that to another comp and run:

RegSvr32 frapsvid.dll (when in the system32 dir ofc, put the dll there), it should work. Should.
