maximize FPS while recording

i've been messing around making arena videos and stuff on the side, and soon will be getting a 8800gts (thanks newegg!)

so i imagine that will help up my fps while frapsing alot

i record full size, and hope to be at a constant 60fps so i get awesome quality and doesnt effect my response time, it seems when i fraps at 30 frames (my computer runs best when not trying to achieve 60 while recording) im not sure if its just the drop in framerate or what but i feel like im moving slow

so basically im just looking for some tips to improve my framerate, a minor setting that can be altered in wow or something along those lines

thanks!

Just be sure you don't fraps in windowed mode, since that really gimps your fps while recording.

I record in fullscreen on a shitty laptop at a constant 60 fps aswell.
And it works fine.

When I am actually recording I switch to full screen for the best result. Other than that I play using windowed for my multi-monitors.

If you don't care about recording sound, turning that option off helped me quite a bit.
