Converting an AVI for Vegas
I read your guide Thiras. But i got some problems. First i don't quite understand what Windowsx64 means so i did it whit out that section.
Now i did everything that is written but when i try to open the .avs file in the program, i get an error that it is invalid. Then i tried the x64 version thingy but couldn't understand jack. Where exactly is this rundll32.exe and what do i edit exactly. Its kinda confusing. I run a Windows XP. And when you write in AVISource, in the () do i include the quotes and do i write the \ between the places since it isn't included in the exampel. Any help would realy be welcome. |

So yeah the guide writing system deleted my backslashes.
Quote:
AVISource("Cmovie.avi") ^ The " marks need to be there. |

Is the folder right there in C:/
you can right click it, then select properties. There you will see "Location" Just copy that |

Yeah, the location is correct, i tried whit other places too. It say that file.avs is invalid, even if the path is incorrect it should still open the or so i think at least.

It dose not give an error. It opens the movie in the specified directory. But it still says file.avs is invalid when opend in VFAPIConfig :/

Also as long as im here. How can i fit footage recorded at different resolutions into one, whit out loosing any of the footage behind edges and so on.
Im making projects at 1260x800 but i have some older footage that i also like to include, at different resolutions. Now i know that you can play around whit pan/crop to like zoom it in, but then you loose some of the original picture, specialy if the older footage isn't wide screen and the current is. And im guessing that you can't help me make the converting work, but im wondering, isn't there any other way to make avis' importable to vegas? |
