Copyright and you

Hey guys, ive been trying to upload a video and well.. like the title says.. short and sweet.. when i get it uploaded it gets removed instantly due to the copyright junk. Seeing as people have videos up and alot of them being on the site im trying to upload to (such as Veoh) how are you guys getting away with it? Obviously its because of having music in the video but comon what is a video without music? Any info / help would be awesome. thanks
