Advice for a beginer?
okay, here it goes, my first post to this community.
I've been interested in the idea of doing some WoW movies for a while now. not just that "LOL watch me pwn this n00b" stuff set to music, but some actual fun video's. unfortunately prior to last week i didn't have the machine necessary to do it, I could barely run Wow above 15 fps as it was, let alone trying to record. I recently invested in a new box, and can now happily enjoy much higher frame rates, I played with both game cam and fraps (at seperate times of course), and had less than a 5 fps drop when recording. which left me still pulling about 40 fps. so now that i have the hardware, I was wondering what advice the community would give to someone just starting out in the world of machinima? I have almost no knowledge of video editing, or recording, I have a godo deal of knowledge of video codecs, that i gained as a "fringe benefit" from some other projects i worked on. but outside of that I'm totally lost as to where to start. any advice, links, tutorials, etc. would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance guys. |
