Updating my Graphic card...

What should I get which will be good for filming?

Currently I got a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 atm. If I update my graphic card i can only assume that will also increase the fps? I think I need an AGP kind (or something like that)

Now, I have been brain washed into believing that ATI cards are good. I am very wrong. If you want a decent video card for filming, stick with Nvidia. I would suggest any of the Nvidia AGP graphics cards that are 256 MB or more, preferably the ones that are factory over-clocked. Walk into Best Buy or any electronics store and find the Nvidia cards, they will be labeled as over-clocked, those are the ones you would like to look out for.

Overclocking is the process of forcing a computer component to run at a higher clock rate than it was designed for or was designated by the manufacturer.

Overclocking is usually practiced by PC enthusiasts in order to increase the performance of their computers. Some hardware enthusiasts purchase low-end computer components which they then overclock to higher speeds, while others overclock high-end components to attain levels of performance beyond original specifications.

I think ATi have the fastest AGP cards now (not many high end AGP cards made these days), except for one over priced nVidia card.

I have to say ATI has nothing like Nvidia these days. I have an old Nvidia 5700 128 MB AGP card that out performs any of the X1*** series cards. The card was made at least two years before any of those.

My old computer has a 9600 XT which is pretty damn bad (got myself a nvidia 2 months ago, havent looked back).

The searing gorge comp crash (I was raiding BWL at the time when that was around, whoopdeedoo), problems where two textures meet (white dots/lines), and overall bad fps.

You're right if the definition of out performing something is to do worse.

That means nothing though. All you are doing is comparing specs, not actual performance. I have used that video card you compared. I was unable to have all the possible graphics settings turned up in WoW with that card whereas with the FX5700 I was able to with 40 FPS steady.

Considering my card is far worse than the one I linked and I can pull 80-100+ FPS on max settings at 1280x1024, I think there was something wrong with your card!

There's no way the 7600 out performs a single X--- range card, and specs do mean a lot.
