Tips for recording in BGs?

I really lack any kind of BG footage because I usually don't know when is the good time to hit the record button, and when something good actually happens hitting the record button is the last thing on my mind. Do you just record as soon as you about to attack someone hoping some more people show up to attack you or just record the whole bg? or am I just a nub for not remembering to hit the record button?

I would suggest hitting the mentioned button about 23 seconds after entering the BG.
If it's the free fraps version you use, don't forget to rehit the button every 30 seconds (alarmclock recommended).
