Help :)
i just recorded some footage on fraps and have loaded it into Sony vegas 8 but it is in large chunks and a lot of it is junk. So how do i crop off some of the footage or like delete some of it? I've looked in all the guides and theres nothing here about editing :/

If you find the spot in the, "Clip" that you want to seperate/delete, just click that spot and press S. It should split that clip, and you can click the half of the clip you dont want and just, "Delete" it.
Hope this works.. |

There is. If you click on the clip in the timeline it appears in the viewer. There are two buttons on the lower right corner, 2 clips with a line through them and a photograph icon. If you click on the 2 clips icon the clip you've selected will be cut at the point in time you selected.

Before anyone asks:
Yes, you can do this in Magix video deluxe as well.

but just one more question, how do i put transitions or text into my movie? edit: i mean text inside of a clip not inbetween. (Ex: like info on the side of the screen like what matchup the arena team is facing in arena movies.) Last edited by Avick : 06-07-2008 at 01:19 AM. |
