quality help

okay so im trying to get into movie making so far i've had some sucess i've made a few videos but sadly they are only coming out at 480p which to me doesnt seem good enough im aiming to get 720p HD is possible.

currently im using fraps to record videos at 30 FPS in full screen mode. im not having any lag issues so no probles here.

i think my issues is im using windows movie maker to edit the videos from there when i save the video i made and compress it with WMM it makes it too smal, bad resolution, bit rate, etc. i've even tried decompressing them with DviX which didn't seem to help at all aside from expanding the resolution. im currently saving them as a WMVwith a bit rate of 2100(want around 4500) 720x480, 4:3 aspect and 30 FPS this is pretty much the max i can get out of WMM, unless theres some update i have not seen or heard of. if its not possible to get better movies out of WMM can u suggest any other editors?.

if anyone has any tips that could help it would be greatly apreciated

First of all we need some information to help you out.

What is the resolution you are recording at in-game?
What are the render settings you are using? (A screen shot might be best here)
What Windows Version are you using?
What Movie Maker Version is it?
