If you want to try out some soundeffects which are not original WoW (sometimes thats more cool than using the originals), check out a1freesoundeffects.com.Not all of the sounds there are free, but loads of them.Worth a visit, imho.

Basicly you are wanting to open the MPQ folder>Inside that folder is another folder named Shadowflare MPQ Archiver [Click on that]- a self executable will prompt you and ask you to run> Run
The MPQ app will then be operational. You will see two bars on the top right, the bottom bar will have FILE and OPEN. You will want to use Open. The default Folder should be enUS. If you were to move up in the directory of this folder you will be in Data. Everything you need will be in this Folder. For sounds, you are going to have to do your own footwork,but..you can start your search off by doing this. On the same line as File and Open, to the far right is an area called Compact and there is a toolbar that you can click on the right side an arrow. When you see * [with listings of file extensions] locate *MP3. Then,I would select Expansion, and beside the area where you selected *MP3, hit LIST. At the bottom of the page you will see it giving you a % of how many it finds. In your Data folder, the Expansion Folder "should" start you off on the right track. |
