8 spotlight spots instead of 4

Hello everyone

I always enjoy watching videos from this site, but i always wondered why there are only 4 spotlight spots. Do you think that more spots are too distracting for visitors and they may forget that there is a "HOT" list too? Or do you think the frontpage would be too overloaded with that change?

I would suggest to add 4 more spots, so more authors would have a chance to be featured and it i think this wouldn't take too much space on the frontpage.
I'm interested what the staff thinks about this idea.

I guess if complaining gets this anywhere...
I've had 2 videos drop off the list that had 4.5+ rating because (out of randomness?) it didn't make spotlight. Not to sound arrogant; I'm not particularly proud of them or anything, but I do think they deserved more than 25,000 views.

They turned down this suggestion many times before, as it takes away from the whole point of the spotlight... too many spotlights just means that a spotlighted video gets less views and actually makes spotlighting worse.
