Smooth Move

OK, I've started my own WoW machinima and am having a hard time making smooth camera moves. (Pans and tilts)

I've tried my mouse and a track ball... does anyone have any suggestions?

You can see some of what I'm talking about below.

thanks

My editing program is not the problem. It's making the camera moves.

And I have 3 words. Adobe Premiere Pro! :top:

Sony Vegas is so much better dude :P Most people use it anyway so theres more support on it. Camara Moves could EASY be done in vegas

I think he means ingame..

Anyhow, it doesnt get any better than using your mouse/trackball, making it smooth isnt quite possible :/

Thanks, Thiras, yes, I'm talking in-game.

Video editing is what I do for a living. I know how to fake camera moves (and do it all the time) but I'm looking to smooth out my camera moves in game... I guess I just need to practice, practice, practice.

Yeah. Holding the mouse with both hands (ie, hold it like normal then hold your mouse hand with your other hand) helps steadiness for sure. Apart from that I don't know.

Perhaps theres some sort of mouse software which can average out movements? Try googling :)

Thanks, I will!

Obviously Blizzard has some way of doing this since in the trailer for Lich King has some fantastic camera moves that are smooth as silk. :]

Lowering the mouse speed can help too. I have a logitech mx518 mouse and I can select 3 basic speeds on the mouse itself and make other mousespeeds with the software I got with it. This is used for shooters a lot to make it faster but if you make it slower it gives smoother camera movement. Ofc you will still need to practice and need a lot of space to move your mouse around :)
