But if i wana film my pvp my lag spikes, i run at 60 fps normally and with fraps on it will range from 45 fps to 13 it will for like 30 seconds be 45 fps then drop to 13 for about 5 minutes and i don't understand it....

Make sure you have Vertical Sync off in your in-gmae video options as it will increase your fps. Also try checking the "No Sync" option in fraps under the "Movies" tab.

okay, just did that my fps has increased great going from 60 fps to 225.... but the filming problem is still there slightly but not as bad, it won't stay at like 13 fps when filming will stay at 45 fps a lot longer.. i think my fraps needs to load the area i'm in so it lags for like 1 min then its fine... not sure.

External aint good for recording.

The speed drops could be due to other things than your harddisk. Checking no sync in fraps is a bad idea btw so uncheck it again. Turning vsync off is good.

Hmm, i filmed some earlier, it spikes thats the problem it will run perfectly fine one second and next down to like 8 fps .... its extremely annoying

Running resolution 1680 by 1050, Fullscreen in wow, even if i turn down my resolution in wow it still does the same problem

What harddisk do you have, how much space does it have available, and is it defragged?
