vegas rendering problem
i recently had to do "format c" on my pc. after reinstalling windows xp and vegas + fraps i'm now noticing much worse video quality (especially fonts look very edgy) after rendering my frapsed takes. i'm (still) using the exact same settings for rendering as in the sticky thread here for wmv.
what could be the problem? (ms framework1.1 + update are installed, no windows updates or sp2 installed) |

For a start, download the Service Pack 2 and get all updates for Windows.
After that, get the newest graphic driver for your video card. And refresh your codecs. There you go. Should work.

i've downloaded all kinds of codec packs, all my other drivers are up to date. i cant do windows updates on the pc i'm rendering on cause it's not connected to the internet.
i'm trying to figure out which files are missing, what could possibly make vegas render in worse quality than before with the same settings i've always used? divx, directx, framework 1.1 /2.0, various codec packs, drivers for graphics card etc etc, all is updated and installed.. |

I to recommend getting SP2... sucks that you can't. But maybe that would solve your problem...
