Try recording with half size and turn down some of your settings in the game, preferably the filtering and shader settings.

The next thing is to go to http://fraps.com and submit a ticket, they provide free tech support.

Fraps can only handle a max resolution of 1152x864 at fullscreen. Anything above that resolution will be cut in half. Since you're running 1280x1024 it'll be 640x512. As I see it your only option is to change to 1024x768, what I did when I last was recording.

actually if you have a dual core processor like myself you can record resolutions up to 2560x1600. For 1 core processors its 1152x864.

If you have a Dual Core system and record with full screen you get full screen, simple as that. Dont know if trial version supports this tho.

While we're on the subject... if you record while on widescreen for example 1280x800. Does fraps cut it in half or can it be fullscreened, anyone?
